Born from a lifetime on the road and a divine call too powerful to ignore, Many Sparrows is the culmination of frontman Steve Johnson's musical journey and spiritual rebirth.  For over two decades, Steve honed his craft as a seasoned performer, sharing stages with icons like Rusted Root, Little Feat, Derek Trucks, Donna the Buffalo, 10,000 Maniacs, The Wailers, The Avett Brothers & More. But it was in 2024, during a life-changing Baptism alongside his wife and daughter, that Steve fully surrendered to Jesus Christ.  Embracing a prophecy spoken over him years before, he stepped away from the secular circuit to answer a higher purpose.  Now, fueled by new songs inspired directly by the Word of God, Many Sparrows exists to evangelize through melody and lead a worship ministry that spreads the Gospel to all who will listen.

Our sounds carry both ancient weight and fresh fire, but our purpose is singular; to lead people into deeper connection with Jesus.  We pursue unity across generations, denominations, and backgrounds, believing that our unity is the world's witness.  We gather to worship but we scatter to evangalize-carrying hope to the lonely, the broken, and the spiritually hungry.

Every lyric, every bridge, every moment of silence is an invitation: Come as you are, stay because He is Faithful.  Go because He sends you.
